Getting to Cancun and Playa del Carmen

Access both destinations easily from Cancun International Airports which is serviced by direct flights from major North American cities. Flights start as low as $200 return depending on the time of year and the carrier.

Flight time to Cancun Airport is around only 3.5 hours from NYC and 6 hours from the west coast, making this area the perfect destination for your next getaway. You’ll find Cancun airport to be easy and friendly, used to handling loads of eager tourists.

Travel from the airport is around 30 minutes to Cancun Hotel Zone and about 90 minutes to Playa del Carmen. Arrange transport with the hotel before arriving, hire a car or taxi. There are well-organised buses servicing both destinations leaving from outside the airport and concierges on hand to assist you to find the right bus.

With a classic tropical climate, it’s rainy and humid from June to October, a relatively cool season from November to February (that’s 22 C- 70 degrees +), and a hot season from March to May, when the highest temperatures reach peaks of more than 40 °C (104 °F).
